  • Arkhipenko, Aleksandr was born in 1887 in Kiev.

  • Career

    • Moved to Paris in 1908. Became one of the best known modernist sculptors (under the influence of cubism). In the early 1920s lived and worked in Berlin.

      Later moved to the USA. Regarded as the founder of the post-Rodin era in sculpture. Remained a typical representative of the 1920s.
