  • Bruni, Lev was born in 1894.

  • Education

    • Studied at the M. K. Tenisheva Art School, 1904-1909, then at the Academy of Arts, Petersburg 1909. Pupil of the famous battle painter, F. A. Rubo.

    Career

    • Landscape and portrait painter. Also graphic artist and book illustrator. Later studied in the studios of N. S. Samokish and I. F. Tsionglinskii, 1911.

      Went to Paris and studied at the Academy, 1912. Member of the Mir Iskusstva, 1915. Exhibitions: Modern Russian Painting, Moscow, 1915, Petersburg, 1916.

      Drawings at the Tsvetkovskaia Gallery, Moscow, 1924. Makovets, 1924-1926; the Four Arts, 1925-1926. Other exhibitions: Moscow, 1927, 1936, 1945, 1947.

      Personal exhibitions: together with V. Tatlin, P. Miturich, and N. Kupreianov, 1925. Posthumous exhibitions in Moscow, 1956 and 1958.
