Georgii Ivanovich Chulkov
Georgii Chulkov, USSR Poet, literary critic.
Chulkov, Georgii was born in 1879.
Studied at Moscow University.
Arrested for revolutionary activities (with I. Tsereteli), 1901, and exiled to lakutia. In Nizhnii-Novgorod, 1904, published his first book. Moved to Petersburg, 1904.
On the editorial board of the philosophical journal Novyi Put’. Became close to A. Blok. Moved to Moscow, 1912.
Preached mystical anarchism, a doctrine which has eluded definition for generations. Continued his literary researches in the Soviet period, writing on Russian literature and cultural history.
