Dancer at the Tashkent Theatre, 1943. Dancer and soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre and the Stanislavskii and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre until 1946. Married an Englishman.
She was the first Soviet citizen allowed to leave the country during Stalin’s life. With Sadler’s Wells, 1946-1956. Leading role in the first performance of the Dying Swan in the UK. Worked with F. Ashton.
Made some films. Retired, 1956. Lives in Italy.
