    • Joined the Communist Party, 1925. In the Soviet armed forces 1931-1947, and from 1949 (1947-1949 probably a Gulag inmate). Naval pilot. As commander of the Baltic naval air force, took part in the Soviet-Finnish war, 1939-1940.

      Commander of the naval air force in the Black Sea, 1942. After World War II, deputy commander of the naval air force and naval air defence forces. Head of the Naval Institute.

    Religion is bad because it divides people, and is a cause of conflict and war.

    Views

    The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
