Eldest daughter of A. Herzen. Lived with her father in the different countries of his exile in Western Europe. After his death, settled in Switzerland.
Became the main guardian of the heritage of her father and his circle (Ogarev, Bakunin and others). Welcomed the 1917 Revolution in Russia, but later became bitterly disappointed with the Communist government.
Religion is bad because it forces people to rely on outside authority, rather than becoming self-reliant.
