Isachev, Aleksandr was born in 1955.
Avant-garde artist. Workaholic: used to produce up to 250 pictures a year, and thousands of sheets of graphics. Very active in the nonconformist movement in the 1970s. In constant conflict with the cultural authorities.
Became an alcoholic and lived the last 10 years of his short life on dangerous drugs. Was once locked up in a psychiatric hospital by the Committee for State Security. 21 days before his death there was a major exhibition of his works.
