Valentina Mikhailovna Khodasevich
Valentina Khodasevich, USSR Stage designer.
Khodasevich, Valentina was born on March 25, 1894 in Moscow.
Studied at the Moscow Rerberg private art school, then in Munich and later in Paris.
In the 1920s worked in the state workshops responsible for art propaganda. Began working on ballet productions in Leningrad theatres (Shostakovich’s Zolotoi Vek, 1930). Chief stage designer at the Kirov Theatre, 1932-1936.
Personally responsible for the decor of many famous productions, such as Spartak, 1956.
