    Career

    • Scriptwriter and author of propaganda plays. Connected with the Committee for State Security. Used by the Committee for State Security to set up a sex trap for the French Ambassador in Moscow, M. Dejean.

      Sent by the Committee for State Security to befriend Boris Pasternak and report on him (in the guise of a family friend). In 1963, as a member of the Soviet delegation in London, asked for political asylum. In 1969, moved to the USA. Confessed to his long cooperation with the Committee for State Security in detailed articles in the Russian emigre press.

      Regular contributor to Novyi Zhurnal, New York. One of his plays about Stalin has been shown on British TV.
