Maria Kuznetsova, USSR Singer.
Kuznetsova, Maria was born in 1880 in Odessa. Daughter of the artist Nikolai Kuznetsov.
Pupil of Ioakhim Tartakov.
She was backed by N. Rimskii-Korsakov who valued her talent. Debut at the Mariinskii Theatre, 1905. The Daily Mail praised her during the Russian season at Covent Garden, February 1911.
In the same year, appeared with tremendous success at the Grand Opera in Paris. Partnered F. Chaliapin. Her last performance at the Mariinskii Theatre was in 1917.
Emigrated. Settled in Paris. Continued her career appearing in various European theatres.
