    Career

    • Dancer, and soon leading dancer, at the Bolshoi Theatre. Appeared in several TV ballet films (Romeo i Dzhul'etta, Fedra, Belye Nochi, Zhizel’). Awarded the Vaclav Nijinsky Award, Paris, 1971.

      In 1979, graduated from the Russian University of Theatre Arts, Moscow. Directed and appeared in the film Mtsyri (after Lermontov’s poem), 1977.
