  • Lufer, Abram was born on August 25, 1905 in Kiev.

    • Pupil of G. Beklemishev.


    • 1st prize at the All-Ukrainian Competition for Pianists, 1930, and 4th prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition, Warsaw, 1932. Taught at the Lysenko Institute of Higher Musical Studies from 1934. Professor from 1934. Director of the Kiev Conservatory.
