    • Graduated from the Groznyi Petroleum Institute, 1951.

    Career

    • Joined the Communist Party, 1953. Chief engineer with the Almentevneft Trust, and then the Tatneft Association. Senior administrative positions in the oil industry, 1951-1961.

      1st Deputy USSR Minister of the Petroleum Industry, 1972-1977. Minister from April 1977. Candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1981.

      Removed from the post of minister due to problems in the oil industry and decline in output. Replaced by Vasilii Dinkov.

    Religion

    Religious books are outdated, because laws by nature have to change with the advance of societies and technology.

    Views

    Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
