Nikolai Aleksandrovich Shchors

Nikolai Shchors, USSR Military commander.


  • Shchors, Nikolai was born in 1895.

  • Career

    • Took part in World War I as a sublieutenant. Joined the Bolshevik Party, and the Red Army, 1918. Organized Red partisan groups in Western Russia, near Novozybkov.

      Fought in the Civil War as a divisional commander. Later glorified as a revolutionary hero. Became the subject of several films.


    Religions encourage war and violence to promote their religious goals.


    The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
