    • Studied at the Petersburg Polytechnic.

    Career

    • Became a Bolshevik at the age of 20. In 1917, junior officer with the 12th Army on the Western front. Participant of the 1st and 2nd All-Russia Congress of Soviets.

      Active participant in the October Revolution 1917. Worked at the Military Commission of the Petrograd Soviet. In January 1918, sent to Vladivostok.

      In March 1918, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Vladivostok Soviet. Arrested by White Czechoslovaks in June 1918 (together with other Bolsheviks). Escaped, August 1919.

      Editor of the underground Bolshevik newspaper Kommunisl. Agitator in the army. In 1920, member of Military Council of the Provisional (Bolshevik) Government of Primorsk District.

      In April 1920, arrested by the Japanese. Executed together with S. Lazo and A. Lutskii.
