Smirnov, Viktor was born on September 6, 1934 in Moscow.
Graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School. Pupil of N. Tarasov.
With the Bolshoi Theatre, 1953-1974. Chief choreographer with the Odessa Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Debut as scenario-writer and choreographer, 1968.
Produced, with N. Ryzhenko, the ballet film Romeo and Juliet, which was shown at International Festivals of Television Films in Monte Carlo and Adelaide. New productions of the classical ballets The Sleeping Beauty and Don Quixote
at the Odessa Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
