Vladimir Avgusovich Stenberg
Vladimir Stenberg, USSR Artist.
Stenberg, Vladimir was born on April 4, 1889 in Moscow. Brother of Georgii Stenberg.
Studied at the Moscow Stroganov School of Art and Industry, 1912-1917.
Also at the Free Arts Shops, 1917-1920. Artist and designer in charge of decorating political meetings and other national celebrations during the 1920s. Member of INKHUK (Institute of Artistic Culture), and the Society of Young Artists.
One of the first constructivists, and participant in the movement of industrial art. Carried out many state orders such as producing political posters for meetings (nearly always with his younger brother Georgii). One of the first film-poster artists, also theatrical designer) for B. Brecht and others.
