Nikolai Nikolaevich Sukhanov
Nikolai Sukhanov, USSR Revolutionary.
Sukhanov, Nikolai was born in 1882.
Journalist and economist, specializing in agrarian questions before World War I. Member of the Menshevik Party. Close to Gorkii, worked on his newspaper NovaiaZhizn’. Very active in the February Revolution 1917 in Petrograd.
Wrote extremely valuable memoirs of 1917, Zapiski о Revoliutsii, published in Berlin in the early 1920s. Arrested in 1931 by the NKVD, later released, then rearrested, 1939. Either died after torture or was shot in the Gulag.
