      Arrested, sentenced to death, commuted to hard labour for life on the island of Sakhalin. In 1905, escaped from Sakhalin to the USA. Joined the left wing of the American Socialist Party. From 1919, member of the Communist Party of the USA. Party worker at Detroit.

      In 1921, returned to Soviet Russia. Party work in 1922. His official biography finishes here. Probably a victim of the Gulag.
