Aleksandr Todorskii, USSR Military commander.


  • Todorskii, Aleksandr was born in 1894.

  • Education

    • Graduated from the Frunze Military Academy, 1927.


    • Joined the Bolshevik Party, 1918, and the Red Army, 1919. Took part in the Civil War as a divisional commander. Head of the Zhukovskii Air Force Academy, 1933-1934.

      Spent many years in the Gulag. Later actively involved in the fight for rehabilitation of former Gulag victims. Lieutenant-general, 1955.


    No religious basis is needed in order to display ethical behavior.


    The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
