    • From 1900, worked in theatres in Tbilisi and Kutaisi. Made the first Georgian full-length feature film, Khristine, 1916. His best film is probably Naezdnik Iz Wild West, 1925.

      All his films are about Georgia and the Georgian people. From 1947, chief director of the Paliashvili Opera and Ballet Theatre, Tbilisi.
