    • Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, 1892-1899, and later at the studio of Valentin Serov, 1899-1902.

    Career

    • Portrait and historical painter and stage designer. Exhibited from 1893. Exhibitions: Russian Portraits at the Tavricheskii Palace, St. Petersburg, 1905. Water-colour, Tempera, Drawing, Moscow, 1906.

      Leonardo da Vinci Society, Moscow, 1906. The Mir Iskusstva, 1906, 1911-1913, 191517, 1921. The Zolotoe Runo, 1908-1910.

      The Union of Russian Artists, 1910-1913, 1923. Exhibited regularly until 1947 in Moscow and Leningrad. Personal exhibitions: Moscow, 1929, and posthumously in Moscow, 1951.
