  • Vainshtein, Mikhail was born in 1928 in Tula.

  • Career

    • Graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. Moved to Tbilisi. Editor of Literaturnaia Gruziia. Left the USSR, 1977, and settled in Israel.

      Edited and published: Lev Lunts’s Rodina I Drugie Proizvedeniia, Jerusalem 1981. Erenburg’s Staryi Skorniak I Drugie Proizvedenia, Jerusalem, 1983. Semen Gekht’s Prostoi Rasskaz О Mertvetsakh / Drugie Proizvedeniia, and A. Tsybulevskii’s Levkina Istoria I Drugie Proizvedeniia.


    Religious moral codes pervert people outside their group as less moral. Thus, religion is socially divisive and its effect is harmful for society.


    Strong communist party can create a new and better society with neither rich nor poor.
