Zeev Bentsionovich Volfson
Zeev Volfson, USSR Ecologist, author.
Volfson, Zeev was born in 1944.
Graduated in geography from Moscow University and from the Moscow Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (State Film School) as a scriptwriter.
Worked as an ecologist. Collected information on destroyed Russian churches and monasteries, and smuggled it to the West. As the result, a fine informative album, Razrushennye I Oskvernennye Khramy, full of excellent photographic material, was published in Germany, 1981.
Left the USSR, 1981. Lives and works in Jerusalem. Doctor of Jerusalem University. Another valuable book, Unichtozhenie Prirody, on ecological disasters in the Soviet Union, was published in 1978 in Germany under the pen-name Boris Komarov.
