  • Zelenin, Eduard was born in 1938 in Novokuznetsk, Kemerovskaia Oblast’.

  • Education

    • Studied at the Sverdlovsk Art School, 1954. Studied at the Repin Academy of Arts.

    Career

    • Moved to Leningrad, 1958. Expelled from the Academy for formalism. Returned to his birthplace, where he worked in various jobs.

      Moved to Moscow. Played an active part in the non-conformist art movement. Clashed with the Soviet cultural authorities, and was expelled from the USSR. Moved to Paris, 1975. Many exhibitions all over Europe.

      Visited Moscow, October 1988. Received a lot of attention from fellow artists.
