Has been interested in oil business throughout career, having substantial developments of crude oil in Santa Maria Valley. President Alphonzo E. Bell Corporation. Member of the board of trustees Occidental College, Church Federation of Los Angeles, member of the board of church extension, Los Angeles Presbytery.
