President Worcester Baptist Association Prominent owner of real estate in Southern California and cattle ranch, Miles City, Montana Has been auditor, selectman, assessor, member School Committee, and collector, Town of Westminster.

      President Massachusetts Agricultural Society, Worcester North Agricultural Society. United States bank examiner 8 years. Superintendent Baptist Sunday School, 21 years.

      President Worcester Baptist Association Prominent for many years in promoting and establishing good roads in Massachusetts, and in philanthropy has been most generous, giving thousands of dollars to benevolent objects. Went to field after some of greatest battles of Civil War and nursed the wounded. After battle of Chancellorsville conveyed his brother, who was desperately wounded, to his home in Massachusetts Has traveled in every state of the United States, provinces of Canada, and in Europe.
