    • Bachelor of Arts, Union College, Schenectady, New York, 1853. Doctor of Medicine Medical Department, University of Michigan, 1856.


    • August 12, 1857 (died 1880). 2d. Miss Sidney J. Wilson, November 15, 1881. Began keeping bees at Marengo.

      1861; had at one time 400 colonies of bees. Writer for bee and agricultural journals. Department editor Gleanings of Bee Culture, since 1890.

      Associate editor American Bee Journal, since 1894.
