Made address before World’s Cotton Conference, 1919, and addresses and hearings before United States Senate on agricultural and financial subjects (public in Senate documents).

      Joint chairman Committee of World’s Requirements and Stabilizing Production and Prices, World’s Cotton Conference, New Orleans, 1919, Manchester, England, 1921. Named president American Cotton Growers at latter conference, 1921. Chairman commission for formation of Calhoun County.

      South Carolina., 1908-1912. Mayor of St. Matthews, 1902-1912.
