Ernest Albert, American scene designer, landscape artist. Awarded Graham Art Medal, 1873, Member National Academy Design, American Water Color Society, Chicago Art Association, Connecticut Acad, of Fine Arts, Silvermine Guild of Artists.

      Furnished sets for Hamlet at opening of Chicago Opera House. Sets include Shakespearean prodns., Babes in the Wood, Supremacy of the Sun, Ben Hur. Designed and painted stage sets for outstanding actors in New York, 1894-1909, landscape painter from 1909-1946.

      A founder and 1st president Allied Artists of America.
