Began independent practice of architecture with firm Guilbert & Betelle, 1910. Specialized in design of schools, public buildings. Served as consultant architect for schools erected in Charleston, South Carolina., Augusta, Georgia, Berkeley, California, Westbury, Long Island, Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Member of advisory board of architects which passed on buildings erected for Institutions in State of New Jersey. Designer and supervisor building of 56 high schools, including Greenwich, Connecticut, New Rochelel, New York, Baker, Tuxedo Park, New York, Great Neck, Long Island. Disigner 9 state colls., including Trenton, New Jersey, New Britain, Connecticut, also 300 grade schools, including 125 in Delaware (gift of Pierre S. Dupont).
