      Comptroller of the currency, United States, 1884-February 1, 1886. Vice president National Bank of the Republic, New York, February-October 1886. President Chase National Bank, 1886-1904, Chairman of the Board, 1904-1911, then director Was chairman clearing house committee, New York Clearing House Association.

      Was aqueduct commissioner, New York. Delegate International Monetary Conference, Brussels, 1892.
