      Director and secretary Portland Water Company, owner large farm at Gildersleeve. Trustee Connecticut Hospital for Insane (finance committee). Member Portland Town School Committee.

      Established postoffice at Gildersleeve, 1872, and p.m. until 1916. Corporator Middlesex Hospital. Vestryman Trinity Church (Episcopal), Portland, since 1865, now junior warden.
