    • Principal Darlington Academy, Pennsylvania. Journalist in New York, 1872. Established Rhodes’ Journal of Banking, 1877, and consolidated with Bankers’ Magazine (which he purchased), 1895.

      Sold out, 1903; member of New York Legislature, 1888-1890. Secured passage anti-bucket-shop law and several important amendments to banking laws of the state. Twice member executive council American Bankers’ Association.

      Founder and first president 1st National Bank, Mamaroneck. Founder, trustee Union Savings Bank of Westchester County. President Quaker Ridge Estates, Mamaroneck, New York Home: Mamaroneck, New York.
