    • Practiced medicine, Middle Grove, Missouri, 1863-1867. Sold goods in Paris, Missouri, 1867. In 1868, with brother, established as wholesale grocer, pending construction Union Pacific road.

      In 1869 established savings bank, Rocheport, Missouri, becoming its cashier. Member Grimes, Woods, La Force & Company, wholesale dry goods, Kansas City, Missoury, 1881. Also president Kansas City Savings Association, which in 1882 was merged into the Bank of Commerce, later National Bank of Commerce, of which became president Home: Excelsior Springs, Mo.
