      Teacher domestic science and school gardens, summer schools, Cleveland, 1911, 12. Assistant state agent in charge extension work for women and girls, Louisiana State University, 1913, 14. With unites states department of Agriculture from 1914, in charge home demonstration work in 15 Southern states and Puerto Rico, with title of senior home economist.

      Head of the extension’s Food Production and Food Conservation Program from 1943.

    • Author: (book) Successful Canning and Preserving, 1917. Home economics bulletins, United States Department Agriculture. Sent to France, summer 1921, to direct unit of workers on food preservation, under auspices French minister agriculture and American Committee for Devastated France.

      Also sent by United States Department of Agriculture, to Spain and Italy, to study methods used in preserving and utilizing Spanish pimientos and other fruits and vegetable products and to secure other information to use in home demonstration work. Sent again to France, 1922, for purpose of organizing and establishing home demonstration work in France. Assisted many years planning study and travel for agts. of foreign governments sent to the United States to study home demonstration work.
