James Churchill Boyd, American civil engineer.
Boyd, James Churchill was born on August 19, 1871 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Son of Samuel Stillman and Harriet E. (Churchill) Boyd.
Student Massachusetts Institute Technology, 1889-1892.
Engineer on location and construction of railroad, sewer and waterworks, 1891-1897. Div. engineer in charge design and construction Boston Elevated Railway, including terminal stations and shops, 1897-1902. Engineer in charge new construction and maintenance, Bangor & Aroostook R.R., 1902.
With Westinghouse, Church, Kerr & Company as construction engineering, chief engineer, Vice-President and director, 1902-1920. Vice president, treasurer and director F. H. McGraw & Company, New York, 1929-1931. Now consulting engineer, private practice, Portland, Maine Vice president. and director National Bank of Commerce.
