      Philadelphia, 1909-1912. Commissioner new water supply for Philadelphia, 1920-1924. Chairman Harbor and Navigation Committee of Philadelphia Chamber Commerce.

      Had charge various dredging enterprises, requiring removal of more than 50,000,000 cubic yds. of material from rivers and harbors. Designed and built breakwater at entrance of Delaware Bay. First reinforced concrete pier (fireproof) in America.
