    • Assisted in development of better farm machinery 1922-1927. Inventor of Rust cotton picker, discovered its basic principles, 1927, and since engaged in perfecting and promoting it. Also inventor of Rust cotton cleaner, 1940, attachment for lawn mowers, 1945.

      Construction engineering Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company, 1944-1947. Construction engineering Ben Pearson, Inc. Founder and president John Rust Foundation, Inc., and The John Rust Company, 1951.
