    • Honorary magistrate, vice chairman Bogra Municipality, 1932-1938. Chairman District Board, Bogra, head non-official local administration, 1938-1943. Appointed parliamentary secretary to prime minister Bengal, 1943.

      Finance and health minister, acting prime minister several times, 1946. Elected to Constituent Assembly (Parliament), Pakistan, 1947. 1st Pakistani ambassador to Burma, 1948, 1st high commissioner to Canada, 1949.

      Ambassador to the United States, 1952-1953, since 1955. Office of Prime Minister of Pakistan, 1953. Honorary chairman Central Cooperative Bank, Bogra, 1940-1946.

      President School Board, Bogra, 1945, founded 1st grade college, also several high and junior schools. Established charitable dispensaries.
