      Founder American Academy Arts and Sciences. Elected member American Philosophical Society, 1773. Author: An Essay on Comets, in Two Parts, 1772, reprinted, 1811.

      Elegy on the late Professor Winthrop, 1st published in Independent Chronicle, 1779.
