      Moved to Des Moines, 1886. District Judge 9th district Iowa, 1889-1890, and 1895-1902. Apptd to fill vacancy, 1902, and elected November, 1902, as Supreme judge.

      Was chief justice Supreme Court, Iowa. Now justice same.
