      Envoy Extraordinary anu Minister Plenipotentiary to Guatemala and Honduras, 1902-1906, to Peru, December 19, 1906-March 1911, resigned. Presented with a gold vase by Government of Guatemala as souvenir of the Peace Conference of the Marblehead, 1906. Organized Progressive party in Kentucky, 1912.
