Frank Boyd Gary, American senator. Member South Carolina. House of Representatives, 1890-1900 and 1906 (speaker 1895-1900); member Constitutional Convention, 1895.


  • Gary, Frank Boyd was born on March 9, 1860 in Cokesbury, South Carolina, United States. Son of Doctor Franklin F. and Mary Caroline (Blackburn) Gary.

    • Brother of Eugene Blackburn G. Educated Cokesbury Conference school and Union College, Schenectady, New York (withdrew in senior year on account of ill health).


    • January 7, 1897. Admitted to bar, 1881, and since in practice at Abbeville, South Carolina.


    There is a large range of issues where Church should interact with politics in such areas as poverty and inequality, environmental issues, nuclear and chemical weapons and the harm caused by use of drugs and drinking.


    God offers a loving relationship. The Covenant is not a contract in which God and human beings agree to provide particular goods and services for each other. God has freely and graciously already made it possible.
