Sang in the United States as boy tenor in Bjoerling Quartet (with father and 2 brothers), season 1920-1921. Made debut as Ottavio in “Don Giovanni,” Royal Opera, Stockholm, 1929. American debut on radio November 1937.
Chicago debut, Chicago City Opera, December 1937.
Metropolitan Opera, New York, debut as Rudolphe in “Louisiana Boheme,” November 1938. Has sung over fifty leading tenor roles in all important opera houses.
1st United States joint concert tour with wife, Anna-Lisa Bjoerling (soprano), 1950-1951.
