Background
Lomong, Lopez was born on January 1, 1985 in Kimotong, Sudan. Kidnapped from Darfur, Sudan and imprisioned in a militia camp at age six, escaped to a Kenyan refugee camp, became one of the 3,800 Lost Boys of Sudan granted refugee status in the United States, resettled in Tully, New York at age 16, granted United States citizenship, 2007. Son of Robert and Barbara Rogers.
