He was trained in local offices for architectural practice, Mr. Wenderoth first found employment in the office of the U. S. Supervising Architect in 1897. Ten years later he was promoted to the post of Chief Draftsman, and after holding that position five years, in 1912 President Taft appointed him head of the U. S. Supervising Architect's Office. During his tenure of office Mr. Wenderoth assisted in preparation of plans for a number of important Government buildings, mainly Post Offices. Due to failing sight he resigned from Federal employ in 1929 and continued inactive the rest of his life.
