Chu Chia-hua obtained Doctor of Philosophy degree from Berlin University, Germany.
He held the post of a professor of Physics at the Peking University. Mr. Chu was a member of Guangdong (Kwangtung) Provincial Government and concurrently Commissioner of Civil Affairs.
Chu Chia-hua was a member of the Central Executive Committee of Kuomintang, member of Zhejiang (Chekiang) Provincial Kuomintang Headquarters. He was a member of the Central Political Council, member of the Zhejiang (Chekiang) Provincial Government and concurrently Commissioner of Civil Affairs for Zhejiang (Chekiang).
Than Mr. Chia was a vice-president and later President of Chung Shan University at Canton, Guangdong (Kwangtung). He was a President of Central University, Nanking in 1931. In 1932-1933 Chu Chia-hua worked as a Minister of Education and Minister of Communications between 1933 and 1935. He was a member of the Central Executive Committee of Kuomintang and chairman of British Boxer Indemnity Refund Committee, since 1931. Dr. Chia served as a Chairman of the Communications Committee of the Central Political Council since December 1935.
He was the Vice Premier in 1949–1950.
