After 3 years he graduated from Business and Communication.
With 990 points is best scorer of Slovenia national basketball team Later he moved with family to Jesenice, Social Research Slovenia, where he attented to primarily school and started playing basketball at KK Jesenice. In 1982 he joined KK Olimpija youth categories.
After two years he switched Ljubljana for Sarajevo, where he played for then one of the top clubs in Yugoslav First Basketball League, KK Bosna.
In 1988 he went study to Oregon State University. The Quad City Thunder selected him at 1991 Continental Basketball Association draft, but never played for them.
However, first pro season he played with College of Business Administration team Yakima Sun Kings. Teo joined Fortitudo Bologna on last match of season 1991-1992, relegation match with Serie B Reggio Emilia.
Before 1996-1997 signed with Fenerbace, but after six months he was back to Italy, signed with Trieste.
Next season 1997-1998 he played with Cáceres Central Bank. Foreign season 1998-1999 re-join Trieste. Last pro year he spelled in Greece, playing for Ionikos North.F. British Columbia International career He played first match for Slovenia in 1991 against Croatia.
Teo played on four Eurobaskets (1993, 1995, 1997, 2001). He collect 52 appearances and scored 990 points, which made him all-time top scorer of Slovenia.
Honors and awards = Alba Berlin = Individual r Most Valuable Player: (1995) Before season 2003-2004 he became head coach of Udine, led the team to 12 place and 15 place (2004-2005) in Serie A. In 2005 he was general manager of Fortitudo Bologna.
He was head coach of Leagea Scafati from December 2006 to November 2007. From 2008 to 2010 was Head consultant of Snaidero Udine. Alibegović have three sons Mirza (1992), Amar (1995) and Denis (1999), who are also basketball players.
Mirza plays for Brescia in Italy, where Denis plays for Stella Azzurra Roma youth teams.
Amar too played for the Roman side teams before he choose to play college basketball for Saint John"s Red Storm.
From 1999 to 2002 member of Snaidero Udine. Alibegović was member of Slovenia national team since 1991 until 2001.
