Career
Hanni made his professional debut on 1 December 2009 in a league match against Sedan. On 11 June 2010, he was slated to sign a one-year contract with hometown club Paris Saint-Germain. However, a week later, it was announced that Hanni would not be joining the club due to a disagreement between the club and the player"s father.
In November 2009, Hanni, a former France youth international announced his intent to represent Algeria on international level, though he is still currently eligible to play for France.
In 26 March 2016, Sofiane Henni is convoced for the first time to play with Algeria national team against Ethiopia in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
